Allison Brooks Janney is an American actor born on November 19 1959. In her nearly thirty years, Allison Brooks Janney has earned acclaim as a stage actress and a film actor for her performance. Janney was awarded numerous awards, including the Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. The actress also won seven Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, she was selected for two Tony Awards. Janney was born in Dayton, Ohio. She was born in and lived in Boston. She graduated from Kenyon College graduation earned her an award from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Janney began her TV debut in 1999 as C. J. Cregg, a role she played in NBC's drama series The West Wing (1999 to 2006) in which she was awarded the award for four Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney received her Primetime Emmy Award for 2014 Outstanding Guest actress in the Drama Series following her role in the role of Margaret Scully on the Showtime series Masters of Sex.
